5 loaves and 2 fishes

Today's sharing after solitude time was on Matt 14:14, and Matt 15: . I used it to relate to our service in GB and some of the key points shared were

1) Jesus has compassion on the people. He can't walk away knowing that the people has a need (hungry) and not meet it.

2) Jesus did not call down manna from heaven to feed the people (though he has the power to do so). Instead He asked the disciples what do they have in their hands, and used it (5 loaves and 2 fishes) to feed the people.

What do I catch from this? Yes, Jesus wants to meet the needs of the people, BUT He wants to do it through US. There are alot of needs to be met in GB, in our girls' lives.. and Jesus does have compassion on them and wants to touch them.. but will we be that vessel for Jesus to use? will we be that bread and fish so that the people will not be hungry anymore?

I saw this video from youtube, its a song by Corrine May. Though the context is slightly diff (in this case, its a boy who offered his loaves and fishes) but the principle is the same. Enjoy!
